Logistics Coordinator

Good knowledge of transportation processes, dispatch operations, and shipment tracking.
Proficiency in MS Excel and basic computer applications.
Strong communication, coordination, and follow-up skills.
Ability to manage multiple shipments and tasks simultaneously.
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience working with transporters, fleet operators, or logistics service providers will be an advantage.
Preferred Candidate Profile
2 Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily transportation and logistics activities, including vehicle placement, dispatch, and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with transporters, drivers, vendors, customers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Track shipments and vehicles through GPS or other tracking systems and provide regular status updates.
- Monitor timely pickup and delivery of consignments and resolve delays or transportation issues.
- Prepare and maintain logistics documents, including invoices, delivery challans, e-way bills, LR/GR, PODs, and shipment records, as applicable.
- Maintain daily MIS reports, shipment trackers, and records of dispatches and deliveries.
- Coordinate vehicle availability, route planning, and transportation requirements to optimize delivery timelines and costs.
- Follow up on pending deliveries, proof of delivery (POD), and transporter bills.
- Verify transportation bills, freight charges, and related documentation before processing.
- Handle customer queries related to shipment status, delays, and delivery schedules.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, transportation regulations, and safety procedures.
- Identify operational issues and coordinate with the concerned teams for timely resolution.
3 What We're Looking For
- Candidates with prior experience in a logistics or transportation company will be preferred.
- Must be organized, responsible, and capable of working in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Should be comfortable coordinating with drivers, transporters, customers, and internal departments.
- Knowledge of GPS tracking systems, logistics software, and transportation documentation will be an added advantage.
