Pharmacist

2 Key Responsibilities

• Dispense medicines as per prescriptions and ensure accurate dosage and instructions.
• Verify prescriptions for accuracy, dosage, drug interactions, and contraindications.
• Maintain proper records of medicines, prescriptions, stock, and transactions.
• Monitor pharmacy inventory and ensure timely replenishment of medicines and consumables.
• Check medicine expiry dates, batch numbers, and storage conditions regularly.
• Maintain proper storage and handling of medicines as per applicable guidelines.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other hospital staff regarding medication requirements.
• Counsel patients/attendants regarding dosage, administration, precautions, and storage of medicines.
• Ensure compliance with hospital pharmacy procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Handle billing and pharmacy-related documentation where required.
• Maintain cleanliness, discipline, and proper organization of the pharmacy area.

3 What We're Looking For

• D.Pharm / B.Pharm from a recognized institution.
• Valid Pharmacy Council registration.
• Prior experience in a hospital pharmacy will be preferred.
• Good knowledge of medicines, dosage forms, and common drug categories.
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to maintain pharmacy records.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and a patient-focused approach.
• Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends/holidays, as per hospital requirements.
