CNC & VMC Programmer

1 About the Role

2 Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, modify, and optimize CNC & VMC machine programs as per engineering drawings
• Set up and operate CNC and VMC machines for production
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications accurately
• Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machine parameters
• Monitor machining operations and ensure dimensional accuracy of components
• Perform first-piece inspection and make necessary program adjustments
• Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to minimize downtime
• Ensure proper machine maintenance and adherence to safety standards
• Coordinate with the production and quality teams to achieve production targets
• Maintain records of programs, tooling, and production activities

3 What We're Looking For

• Good knowledge of CNC & VMC programming
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
• Knowledge of G-Code and M-Code programming
• Understanding of machining processes, cutting tools, and fixtures
• Familiarity with measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, and Bore Gauges
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
